Steps

  1. Check that Indian nationality falls under the PAR: a visa-free visit of no more than 14 days, following mandatory pre-arrival registration.
  2. Check that you do not fall under an exemption from the PAR (valid entry visa, enrolment in e-Channel for frequent visitors, HKSAR Travel Pass, etc.).
  3. Register online on the designated GovHK website, with data identical to the passport; the result is displayed immediately.
  4. Print the notification slip on a blank white A4 sheet, check its data against the passport, then sign it.
  5. Before boarding, present the notification slip and the passport used for registration to the carrier.
  6. On arrival, present the same documents; if admitted, a landing slip states the conditions and duration of stay, to be kept with the passport.
  7. If registration cannot be completed, apply for a visit visa directly with the Immigration Department (Chinese missions do not accept these applications).
