Frequently asked questions
Honest answers
What the service does, and what it does not do.
These answers describe how the service actually works. They do not replace the information published by the authority competent for your procedure.
Global scope
Is my country covered?
Every territory in the world has its guide page: 249 destinations, all nationalities. What that page shows, however, depends on the data already reviewed by an authorized person. A page with no published rule signals missing data, never a visa exemption.
In which language?
The interface exists in French, English and Arabic; French is the editorial reference language. The English and Arabic interfaces are machine-assisted translations, marked “pending editorial review” until a person has reviewed them. A guide’s text stays published in the language a person wrote it in, and the page says so when it exists only in French.
Can I use VisaGuideline from any country?
Yes. The service is accessible from any country and does not depend on where you connect from. The site works in universal time (UTC); your travel dates and the time zone of your reminders are the ones you declare, and nothing is inferred from your connection.
Preparation
What exactly does VisaGuideline do?
The service organizes your preparation: it saves the information you declare, shows a basic checklist and helps you spot what still needs checking with the competent authority.
Do I have to pay to start?
No. The basic checklist and the summary export are free. Paid options appear only in your space, and only on an installation that has opened them; no price is announced on the public pages.
Do I have to submit my supporting documents?
No. The preparation is based on the answers you declare. Document submission is a separate feature, closed until it is qualified on the installation you are using.
Limits of the service
Does a complete checklist guarantee the visa?
No. A score or a checklist describes your declared preparation, never a probability of being granted a visa. The decision belongs to the competent administration.
Are the requirements shown official?
They come from a rule version reviewed by an authorized person and published with its provenance. Information we cannot source is not shown: the page stays empty rather than invented.
What happens if my route is not covered?
The checker marks it as unknown or out of scope. No requirement is inferred from a resemblance to another route.
Privacy
Who can see my case?
You. A case, its answers and its exports are limited to their owner. Professional access exists only after an explicit share from you.
Can I retrieve or erase my data?
Yes. From your space, the privacy section lets you export your personal data and then, if you wish, erase your account and your cases.
Do your public pages use a tracker?
No: no audience-measurement script is loaded. The account pages and the private space are neither cached nor indexed, and send no referrer. No personal data is placed in an address.
Agencies
How does an agency join VisaGuideline?
By invitation only, and from any country: no geographic area is excluded. There is no self-service agency registration, and no commercial offer published at this stage.
Can an agency change my case?
No. A share with an agency is read-only and limited to the mandated case. You can withdraw it.
Account
How do I create an account?
When registrations are open, you give a username and an email address; WordPress sends you a link to choose your password. No password is transmitted in plain text. Account creation is not open on this installation. Existing accounts remain usable.
I have lost my password.
Use the recovery page: a single-use link is sent to the account’s address. The link is consumed after use and cannot be replayed.
