Steps

  1. Check, on the ministry's “Visiter le Sénégal” page, whether the country of nationality is among the countries exempt from a visa for a stay of less than three months; nationals of other countries need a visa.
  2. Download and fill in the visa application form, then inquire with the competent consulate before going there (required documents, processing times).
  3. Determine the country's category: B (visa mandatory, consultation of the Ministry of the Interior optional) or C (consultation mandatory); countries not appearing on any list fall under category C.
  4. For category C, first obtain entry authorisation from the Ministry of the Interior and submit the application at least two months before the trip.
  5. Gather the passport together with a copy of its first page, identity photographs, proof of accommodation and the other documents required as applicable.
  6. Go to the consulate with the complete file; the Casablanca consulate also allows foreigners residing in Morocco to start the application online.
  7. Collect the visa at the consulate that issues it; processing times vary, and the Casablanca consulate announces collection 48 hours after the complete validation of the file.
