Since January 5, 2016, any application for a Turkish sticker visa goes through the sticker visa pre-application system. After entering the information online, the applicant appears at the Turkish representation to complete the procedure, in particular by submitting his duly signed application form. In countries where the internet connection is weak, or in case of difficulty filling out the form, the application can still be made directly at the Turkish representation.

If an invitation letter accompanies the tourism visa application, it must indicate the Turkish identity number of the person inviting, his full identity, the list of invited persons, his permanent address and his telephone number, the duration and purpose of the stay as well as his connection with the applicant. The person or organization inviting undertakes to cover the subsistence and accommodation costs and to assume responsibility for them. If the invitation comes from an organization or a company, its tax registration certificate is required.

Steps

Check the regime of one's nationality on the Ministry's « Visa Information For Foreigners » page: exemption, e-Visa or visa to be requested from a Turkish representation.
Fill out the online pre-application for the sticker visa (www.visa.gov.tr); where applications go through a visa application center, apply to that center. The system directs applicants who are entitled to it to the e-Visa.
Make an appointment at the Turkish consular office (without Turkish consular representation in the country, online at the nearest accredited office); the Ministry advises requesting the visa at least one month before the trip.
Appear at the Turkish representation with the signed application form, the passport and the originals of the documents uploaded during the pre-application.

The duration of stay granted by a visa or an exemption cannot exceed 90 days per 180-day period, a rule that applies to all foreigners. Turkish consular offices issue visas with a duration of stay of at most 90 days; to stay longer, one must apply for a short-term residence permit at the provincial directorate of migration management.

The Presidency of Migration Management publishes the 2026 fee schedule set by the general communiqué on the law on fees (Official Gazette of December 31, 2025, No. 33124): 9 376,40 TL for a single-entry visa and 31 410,00 TL for a multiple-entry visa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs determines, according to the principle of reciprocity, the nationalities subject to application or visa fees and the amounts applied.
Two passportsA foreigner who holds two passports cannot stay 90 days with each of them in the same 180-day period.
Cruise stopoverConditions and details
Travelers subject to the visa who arrive by a port during a tourist trip can receive from the local authorities a visa-free entry permit of at most 72 hours, valid only to visit the surroundings of the port; this permit (« Harbor City Entry Permit ») must be returned on exit.
