Fingerprints taken in person, unless they were taken during a Schengen visa application in the last 59 monthsConditions and details
The fingerprints are taken in person when applying and recorded in the Visa Information System (VIS). Once provided for a Schengen visa application, they are not requested again for 59 months, but may be requested in case of doubt. The questionnaire does not collect this information: the condition is to be verified by the applicant.Additional documents provided for by the harmonized list used in the country of submission, where applicableConditions and details
In some countries, the Schengen States apply locally a harmonized list of documents, for example bank statements for the last three months, a letter from the bank confirming the existence of the account, an employment certificate or pay slips. These documents also serve to assess the intention to leave the Schengen area before the visa expires. The applicant checks whether such a list applies where he or she submits the application, on the ministry's website or with the consulate.
